Rather than suppressing a few key symptoms, our goal for patients is the restoration of their overall health. We work to identify the underlying causes of the medical condition(s) that brought you to the office, and use treatments that promote the natural healing mechanisms of the body. Typically, our doctors spend more time with patients than conventional doctors do, and are able to more deeply understand patients’ health. Consequently, side effects occur much less frequently. We consider the education of our patients a vital aspect of their care.
We meet our patients where they are on their health continuum, and lead them back to a state of health, vibrancy, and high-level wellness. Naturopathic physicians are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
New patient visits take approximately 60 minutes. Your doctor will take an extensive history and listen to all of your concerns. Knowing and understanding important milestones and events in your life will allow your doctor to identify the cause of your illness, and direct a focused and individualized treatment strategy. Appropriate exams and lab tests will be ordered at the end of your visit. Please make sure all of your paperwork has been filled out online and submitted 24 hours prior to your visit.
Source of Health is not contracted with any insurance companies, but rather we provide patients with the necessary forms for you to submit to your insurance company so that you can be adequately reimbursed. Some insurance companies will cover naturopathic medicine, some cover acupuncture, and some cover both. Most treatment visits, blood tests, labs, and imaging studies are covered by major insurance carriers. We gladly accept Health Savings Accounts (HSA). Flexible spending plans and medical savings accounts frequently reimburse for the cost of care and for the nutritional supplements that come from our office. We are happy to support you with any necessary letters or documentation to help with your reimbursement from these eligible programs. As a benefit for our patients whose insurance carriers list naturopathic physicians as out-of-network healthcare providers, we will provide the necessary information and coding for them to submit for reimbursement. All payments are due at the time services are rendered, except in the case of insurance liens (please see our “Personal Injury and Accidents” page).
Typical improvement begins quickly, within a few weeks. The length of time a person has been out of balance may lengthen the overall improvement process. Our treatment strategy is determined on a monthly basis. You can estimate one month of treatment for every year you have been chronically ill.
